Q: What is IL2000 and who do we help?

A: IL2000 provides Managed Transportation Services for mid-sized manufacturing companies across all industries. We focus on companies that spend between $2 to $30 million on freight transportation. We offer services that ensure our clients' logistics operations are efficient, cost-effective, and optimized for success.

Q: How does IL2000 begin a new client relationship?

A: The process starts with an in-depth analysis that spans 8 to 13 weeks. We take a two-pronged approach: quantitative and qualitative. This helps us thoroughly understand our potential client's logistics and freight management processes.

Q: What does the quantitative study involve?

A: Our quantitative study involves collecting shipment-level data, typically for three months or more. This data includes everything on an invoice – weight, freight class, dimensions, charges (linehaul, fuel, assessorial), ship date, delivery date, shipper name, consignee name, and for truckload shipments, stop IDs and costs. Our pricing and logistics engineering team processes this data through our pricing model, comparing it to thousands of similar shipments.

Q: What about the qualitative study?

This involves interviews with key personnel across the supply chain, including the Chief Operating Officer, SVP of Supply Chain, shipping and receiving, customer service, Controller, CFO, accounts payable, purchasing, and IT. These interviews help us understand the order-to-cash cycle and the purchase order issuance to receipt cycle for inbound freight.

Q: What is the outcome of these studies?

A: The culmination of these efforts is a comprehensive 40-page overview of the client's current supply chain and freight management process, highlighting known deficiencies and optimization opportunities. This document serves as a roadmap for potential improvements and cost savings.
